Munster Club win
The Tulla Senior hurlers commenced their Munster odyssey with an emphatic 16 point win over Lixnaw on Sunday, 4th November 2007. This was a game which Tulla were very anxious about but these tensions were eased with three goals in the opening ten minutes. These scores decided the tie. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the day was the huge Tulla support which travelled from Clare. This was evident from teh huge roar that greeted the Tulla team when they arrived onto the pitch. Credit must be given to the Lixnaw club for the wonderful facility they have in place. The next game is the munster semi-final against Ballyduff Upper, the Waterford County champions. this takes palce on Sunday 18th november in Cusack Park, Ennis. Champions! The Tulla Senior hurlers made history in the Clare Senior hurling final on Sunday 21st October 2007 by defeating Crusheen on a scoreline of 1-7 to 0-9. Celebrations continued long into Sunday night as thousands of supporters welcomed the Canon Hamilton trophy back to the Windswept Hill. It was a day and evening filled with history, tradition and raw emotion.
Tulla Hurlers prepare for County Senior Hurling Final. The village has never seen its like before. Not since Clare's glory years of 1995 and 1997 has there been as much colour and excitement around the place. But this is more special. This is about the whole village, where everyone knows the players and their families. It is important to embrace the occasion and to lend your support to the GAA club at this very exciting time. Roll on October 21st and County Final day against Crusheen. These two teams are very evenly balanced. In their first round tie this year the game ended in stalemate. Their most recent meeting to this was in 2003 when Crusheen defeated Tulla at Clareabbey in the group stages of the championship.
